Romance Candy (referred to as Romance Sweet in Viva Piñata: Pocket Paradise) is a pink heart-shaped candy that is used to meet the romance requirements for a piñata species that the player has already managed to successfully romance, to allow a piñata to romance as many times as wanted without having to do the requirements repeatedly.
In Viva Piñata and Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise, Romance Candy can be purchased from a store. In Viva Piñata, a Macaracoon is able to find a Romance Candy using the action "Find Romance Candy" which is selectable in the Menu, and in Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise a Macaraccoon will sometimes spit a Romance Candy after being placed in the garden. In Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise, Bart can transform a Rose into a Romance Candy, which makes it the only non-produce item result that can be obtained from tinkering items.
In Viva Piñata: Pocket Paradise Romance Sweets can only be obtained from completing factory challenges or from breaking the Birthday Cake and can be stockpiled for use later. When one is dropped, tapping on it will make it disappear and increase the held Romance Candies by one. Later, after selecting a piñata with the cursor, a Romance Sweet button will appear on the right side of the Touch Screen, tapping this will deploy one and order the piñata to eat the deployed Romance Sweet.
